Nick Blunt

Financial Advisor

Nick has been in the financial services for nearly 30 years working for the some of the most well know names in the industry. Nick began his career with a major building society before moving onto one of the largest mortgage brokerages in the country. Nick then decided to relocate and was fortunate to spend some time working for one of the largest specialist mortgage brokers in the country. With that experience Nick decided to launch his own independent financial advisers which continues to go from strength to strength today.

Outside of work Nick likes to spend time with his 2 children, he is a keen golfer and likes to seek out new experiences and visit new places.

Jay Rooney

Financial Advisor

Jay has worked in financial services since 1999 and was authorised as a Financial Advisor in 2002. He started his fledgling career with Prudential and moved to Private Practice to work as an Independent Financial Advisor in 2002, and has been doing so ever since. Although Jay is a Generalist Independent Financial Advisor able to provide advice across the full spectrum of products he has been working solely in our Life & Pensions team since 2018. He has called Bramhall Village, Greater Manchester “home” since 2011.

Away from the office Jay likes to travel at the weekends with his wife and their two children. He is a Manchester United fan and an avid Formula One follower.

Martin McSherry

Financial Advisor

Martin has worked in financial services for over 25 years, starting as the man from the Pru in Bristol, before returning to live in Belfast where Martin entered Private Practice. Maintaining strong relationships with clients over many years has been the foundation of his service. He identified the need to offer fully Independent Financial Advice to his clients early in his career and has strived to do this ever since. More recently a lot of Martin’s time has been focused on pension and protection options, with new and long term clients who’s needs have evolved as they get older.

Martin has obtained many Chartered Insurance Institution qualifications over the years and is always seeking Continuous Professional Development covering the full range of Financial Planning, Investment, Mortgages (including later life mortgages), Protection plans and Trusts and of course Pensions.

Michael McClatchey

Mortgage & Protection Advisor

Michael has been qualified as a mortgage and protection adviser since moving to Manchester in 2007, having previously worked in hospitality management. Initially working in the highly competitive Buy to Let market he has since expanded his skill set to residential mortgages and protection and has a particular affinity for working with first time buyers.

Outside of work Michael is kept busy by his two young children and enjoys watching motorsport and rugby.
